Hi there,

I was working in Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 RC and suddenly this error appeared and closed my project and the program. I lost everything I worked and now I cannot recover. Can anyone tell me please what is happening with Microsoft Visual Studio ? How can this be solved ?

Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 RC has stopped working

I think Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 RC is one of the pre-release versions of Microsoft Visual Studio. If this error already lost your work, make sure next time you always save from time to time or create a backup copy of your work to have a safe ground in case it happened again. To try a simple fix, close the dialog box or the application then restart your computer.

Start the application again after booting and see if you can go back working on your file. Check if your computer meets all the requirements and you installed all the required software for Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 RC. Ignoring to install even one component may result to the same error. If the error happens again, try reinstalling the application.

If the error is caused by a corrupted file then reinstalling it will surely fix the problem. It would also help if you install the latest update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 RC and any available hotfix.
