A huge corporation has 40,000 employees with their own related IP addresses and it works with around 400 servers that consists of SMTP, POP3, File Transfer Protocol, Web and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol in two places that are 20 miles apart from each other. The Dual T1 lines is accumulating a bandwidth of 3,088 Mbps that connects the two sites.
Each site consists of 200 employees and servers. It works with various separated subnet in a Class B address of the company. Now, I want to know what if I setup a single DNS server on two places, can someone explain how the two sends support with each other?
And also, what are the advantages that this setup can give for the users of the corporation? And can some one also please explain the virtual speed of a 100BaseT Local Area Networks that are used in each places as compared to the WAN that connects the two sites.

100Base-T is a network which uses star topology so their end nodes are connected to network to switch  or central hub and hub work is to receive incoming packets and repeat that packets on other active ports.Â

There is a switch which can be said as an advanced controller used for routing and managing the packets individually and group, where a single problem node can bring down the entire network.Â

A node might be an client or server or PC, or any other as followed by the 100Base-T device which can be described as hub, bridge, router or switch and are used only in providing the number of node connections.Â

Each and every link connecting 100Base-T hub with a node must be of Category 5 UTP cable despite of link speed and this type of requirement is dictated by the hardware components used in the adapter card.

Maximum length of the cable from hub to node is 100 mts and  for this two twisted pairs of wire are required which complies with Ethernet of 802.3.
