Error 1920: Service MCafee shield failed start

I am having trouble with using McAfee on my computer. I receive this error, “Error 1920: service McAfee shield failed to start. verify that you have sufficient privileges to start service shield.”. I don’t know how to fix this as I am not so techy. I would appreciate any help I get from you.

Error 1920: Service MCafee shield failed start

Dear Tomee Llman,

You are facing trouble with using mcafee on your computer. If you are using windows 7 operating system then follow the instruction to solve your problem.

** Remove/uninstall Mcafee from your computer.

** Delete the directory file of Mcafee from program files. Follow this to delete mcafee from program file. Local disk C > Program files > Mcafee. Just delete Mcafee folder, not the program file folder.

** Then restart your computer.

** Download the latest version of the Mcafee antivirus.

** Install Mcafee again to your computer.

** Restart your computer.

** If you have the original key of Mcafee which means if you buy the Mcafee antivirus previously, enter the key to activate Mcafee antivirus.

** You can also install from your CD if you have.

** Restart the computer again. Mcafee will start working.
