Hi,

This error message appears because Norton Winfax uses a Windows RPC service that not allowed by the new security features in Microsoft XP SP 2.Users have the complex options

• Not installing XP Service Pack 2 or
• Deleting the security settings in Service Pack 2, by setting up a Symantec Winfax patch
• Discovering substitute fax sharing software

It is better to choose new Fax sharing software, instead of installing the Winfax 10.0 patch. Nevertheless, the ultimate decision is in the hand of the system administrator of your company, and if you want to use the Symantec Winfax Fix.
