I was trying to connect to Skype. However as soon as I attempted to schedule a meeting on it, a dialogue box appeared with the following error, you cannot schedule the Skype meeting because you are not UC-enabled. Please help.

Skype Error, You Cannot Schedule The Skype Meeting Because You Are Not UC-enabled

To solve this error, please follow the steps below:

The Online Meeting feature for Skype determines the SMTP address of the person you are currently trying to schedule a meeting with. However, it cannot find the person’s SIP address through Skype. (This happens when you have logged in to Skype and Outlook with different accounts.)

Hence, you simply need to log in with the same account for both Skype and Outlook. If you don’t have an Outlook account, you can make one easily. Visit HERE

That’s right, this problem can happen if you are signed in to Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Office Outlook using different accounts. To be able to successfully schedule an online meeting using Microsoft Lync, you need to log in using only one account on both Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Office Outlook. The error is triggered because of the Online Meeting add-in for Microsoft Lync.

The add-in was able to locate the SMTP address of the person whom you want to schedule a meeting but the add-in was unable to find out the person’s SIP address from Microsoft Lync or from the Microsoft Exchange Server. To fix the problem, you simply need to log in using only one account.

If you are currently logged in to Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Office Outlook, you need to log out your account on both applications. Once you are logged out, log in back to those applications using only a single account. It should fix the problem.
