I have a big problem using Google Talk for voice chatting with my relatives. Few days ago, it did not work. When I double click on the desktop icon, a dialogue box appeared with a message "NSIS error". Can you tell me what’s the problem and how can I get rid of this.
NSIS Error
The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete.
This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus.
You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy.
It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED).

“NSIS error” dialogue box when Google talk is opened
Uninstall Google talk from add/remove from control panel and try the following:
1- Go to start. Click on run.
2- Write cmd and press OK.
3- You will see the command prompt, hold the installation file and drag on cmd panel.
4- Press space and write /NCRC to be like:
C:\Software\googletalk-setup.exe /NCRC
5- Press Enter.
If the last process didn't help reinstalling Google talk, then you have to download the installation file again.
“NSIS error” dialogue box when Google talk is opened
Hello Stefenhon,
Try to run the setup file by accessing it from the Command Prompt. Contrary to this, go to the location where the setup file is stored, Right click on the file and choose “Run as Administrator” click continue twice if a dialog box appears for security settings.
If still the same problem occurs, use checksum application to check whether the downloaded file is corrupted or contains some invalid packets.
