My hard disk is showing smart, hard disk error fix problem, and it is not opening. I haven’t done the backup, and now I have a question whether I will lose all my data how to recover it.

This hard disk means Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (smart, hard disk error fix) so whenever it is getting crashed it informs you to do the backup process immediately, and if it is not opening or you have not done the backup then you can go to repair store, and they will restore all the data, and you have to replace the hard drive.

Unfortunately, you’re in the worst side of the problem. Modern hard drives nowadays have built-in S.M.A.R.T. feature that monitors and checks its own physical health. This feature runs as you use your computer. This feature helps you monitor if your hard disk is about to fail so you can backup your data.

If this is the current state of your hard disk, I would recommend you backup your data into another separate hard disk because the drive itself can fail anytime. Unfortunately, when your hard disk starts having problems related to S.M.A.R.T. there is no more solution left to fix it because the problem here is the physical state of the storage device.

The only thing you can do is backup your data and replace the failing hard drive.
