Hello,
Please someone help me on the error which I am facing past one week. I have some important files in a folder on my desktop. I use these files everyday to perform my jobs.
Suddenly, my POS stopped detecting these files. It’s saying that the files do not exist or have been deleted.
I am shocked and want someone to solve this is the error message.
Please help me.
Thanks.

Halllow Emond,
I have researched about Business Plus accounting
Perform a Reindex
1. Close the BPA Software on all of your client (secondary) systems.
2. On the server (main) computer, go to Files
3. The next screen will ask you to confirm that the BPA software is closed on all other stations.
Press Yes on this screen to confirm.
If the error is preventing you from opening the BPA Software, then perform the following steps:
4. Close the BPA Software on ALL stations
5. On the server (main) computer, go to StartAll ProgramsAccessoriesCommand Prompt
6. In the Command Prompt box, type in “c:bpabpa index” (without quotes)

Hellow Janice Emond !!
I have researched about Point of sale as well as Business Plus Accounting software troubleshooting.
I think your problem has occurred due to sudden shut down of the system and network connection disruption.
Now you can do the followings.
1. Close the BPA Software on all of your client (secondary) systems.
2. On the server (main) computer, go to Files > Reindex Data Files.
3. The next screen will ask you to confirm that the BPA software is closed on all other stations. Press Yes on this screen to confirm.
If the error is preventing you from opening the BPA Software, then perform the following steps:
4. Close the BPA Software on ALL stations
5. On the server (main) computer, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
6. In the Command Prompt box, type in “c:bpabpa index” (without quotes)
I hope this will work.
Thanking you

Some time PC may stop detecting files because of various hardware issues,
Restart your computer if the problem is not resolved then again restart your computer then press and hold down the CTRL key after your computer completes the Power On Self Test (POST), and then choose safe mode from the startup menu.
Once your computer restarts in Safe mode, use the System Configuration Utility tool, first Click Start, then point to Programs>Accessories, > System Tools> System Information. There on the Tools > System Configuration Utility.
And then General > Selective Startup, and then click to clear the following check boxes:
Process config.sys File
Process Autoexec.bat File
Process Winstart.bat File (if available)
Process System.ini File
Process Win.ini File
Load Startup Group Items
Click OK, and then restart your computer .The problem will be resolved.
