The main difference between notepad and notepad++ as Notepad is the simplest and minimalistic text editor windows has. This tool can be used by every individual to write down or modify text files. It supports almost all the dialects and it saves the file with txt extension file format.

Notepad++ is a free source code editor and an advanced text editor which supports almost 50 programming, markup and scripting languages. It features the computer-based detection of the programming. Presently, there are 27 standard plugins for Notepad++ which can be used to enhance the features of it.
