Hey guys! I recently bought an Apple MacBook, and so, it will take some time for me to learn its overall features that makes this product so much advanced. But, I need to compress some files urgently. Please let me know how to zip a file on Mac OS?

Basic Instructions On How To Zip A File On Mac OS X?

Making a zip archive on a Mac is easy with the compression tools that are built directly into OS X. Externally; there is no need to download additional software to create zips more quickly. For creating zip files on the Mac, here is all that you need to do:

1.  Locate the items that you want to compress in the Mac Finder.
2. Select or right-click on the file/folder that you want to zip.

3.  You will now find the newly created. zip archive file in the same directory.
