I am a security administrator, joined newly in a random company. I am very particular about the virus and spyware attacks and hence want to be updated. My client asked me to install Scan safe software to scan for virus.
I just want to know which is more reliable and less in terms of money, Scan safe or gateway product. Please clarify my doubt and make me clear on this.

I think I can help you with this issue, both Scansafe and Gateway anti-virus are good anti-viruses but definitely there is one antivirus that stand out to be better than the other. It's quite tricky to judge but I will try my best.
In terms of reliability and money, I would say that the Scansafe antivirus stands out and is way better, this is because it has so much enhanced protection from malware in that it blocks malicious threats or spyware even before they reach the network system. It is also very fast in terms of providing protection and security.
It is also very effective and timely in the updating of the virus definitions and updates unlike the Gateway anti-virus. It is efficient in web filtering in that it can control the way the employees use the internet in the case of an organization or if its the case of a school or institution, it can control the way the students use the internet. It is also cheap to maintain.
Gateway anti-virus on the other hand is a good antivirus also but quite costly in charges, it is also not very enhanced in protection. It is not as fast also in protection, although there has also been a bit of complaining about it, it is still as effective but not as Scansafe. It doesn't have the capability to control how people use the internet
So I guess If I were you I would get Scansafe for an alternative to protection
