If this is the case that you’re logged on already to your organization’s network, then you can sign in to Lync by following these steps:

1. On the taskbar of your system, click Start, then All Programs, after that, click Microsoft Lync, and then Microsoft Lync 2010.

2. As the Lync window opens, if you view your name and status, you’re signed into the computer.

3. Then, click on the availability menu given under your name, and then click your presence status to let the messenger set it automatically.
