Identify the Duplicate Value from MS Excel.
2007 Excel allows you to identify the duplicate values, highlight them and manually remove them or else directly remove the duplicate values. As you want to identify the duplicate values, follow the steps below:
-
Select all the cells by clicking the top left hand corner of the worksheet
-
Go to home tab. Then follow Home tab > Conditional formatting > Highlight cells and rules > Duplicate values
-
When it appears the ‘Duplicate Values’ dialog box, use the relevant format
-
Click OK
-
If you want to delete the duplicate values, you can do it manually.
However, if you want to delete the duplicate values without finding them you can do it as follows:
-
Data tab > Remove duplicates
-
In ‘Remove duplicate values’ dialog box, you can select the columns which you want to remove the duplicate value. By clicking ok, you remove the duplicate values.
Thanks.

Identify the Duplicate Value from MS Excel.
There are many ways that you can use in Microsoft Excel in order to identify the same data which has been entered more than one times(Duplicate) in a excel sheet.
I will show you a one way.
I will take the following example. In the given image you can see that same data has been typed in many places.
To identify the duplicate date, first select whole sheet and click the data tab again click on the filter option in the sort and filter option.
Then click on the filter button in any of column heading (I choose “Name” column in the scenario) which enable you to filter duplicate data.
Now tick on the “select all” check box in order to unselect the data.
Now tick on a name to find the duplicate data.( I tick on the “Brian”) and click ok.
Now you can see how many times the same data has been duplicated as follows.
