My new laptop cannot detect internet connection through wifi or cable

A new laptop was sent to me from a relative who is in another country and when I tested it out, I found that it cannot detect any internet connection through wifi. I tried connecting it with an internet cable, but it still cannot connect to the internet. What should I do?

Hello Alisha,

Try below solutions.

• If there are more than 1 device connected to your Wi-fi, make sure there is no IP conflict. 
• Make sure wireless connection is enabled, go to command prompt and type ncpa.cpl, if connection is grey color right click on it and make it enable
• Temporary disable your firewall and check if it's working. 
• Make sure your Internet service providers hasn't block your service.
• Make sure that device drivers are installed properly. Try installing again if required.
