If you have a BlackBerry Bold 9900 Smartphone, here’s how to factory reset your phone. On your phone, press and hold “alt,” “aA,” and “del” buttons simultaneously. This will cause the phone to shut down. When the phone is now off, release the buttons. Wait until the phone restarts. Once the phone has restarted, the reset is complete.

Before doing the factory reset, make sure to backup all your files to your memory card and then remove the memory card from the phone before doing the actual reset. When you factory reset your phone, everything in it is wiped out including your contacts except if your contacts are stored on the SIM card. The SIM card is left untouched during the reset.
