Error analysis helps in the process of describing and also explaining the nature and behavior of errors and deviation which occur in the learner’s language. They are helpful in the explaining the strategies of learning and also during research.

Error analysis in linguistics is used in providing feedback to the higher officials in schools and many other educational institutions regarding their progress and describes their work.
