Adobe Photoshop not allowed to write the registry

I don’t think the error points to the program you started on the USB flash drive. The error refers to your own user account. It only means that you are not using an administrator account and you are probably just using a limited account. Limited user accounts on Microsoft Windows have restrictions on accessing the computer.

A limited user account is not allowed to install anything on the computer and if you are restricted from installing a program therefore you will also not be able to write anything on the Windows registry. The reason why the program works on his computer but not on your computer is because he is the administrator or he is using an administrator account.

If you want to use the program stored on the USB flash drive, you need to use a user account with administrative privileges so you will be able to write to the registry.
