The customer service has reported that the majority of the errors posted by the people are either related to the crash of the launcher or else the launcher is facing trouble to communicate with the download server. Before posting an error always make sure of the following things,

  • VPN – Sometimes, whenever you enter your login credentials and wait for the page to load, our domain or server might not respond. At this point, always check by using a free VPN to check your Internet connection.
  • Turn off the compatibility mode off – the launcher has to work without turning on your compatibility mode. It is not advisable to turn on your compatibility mode to void malfunctioning of the launcher.
  • Bad DNS – some Internet service providers do not provide good DNS names, hence, always use public Google DNS.

However, error 2002 simply means that there is not enough disk space and you need to make some storage space available to download the game.

That is a connection-related error. The client download is 50 MB but the entire installation will grow probably almost 27 GB as what was stated in the system requirements. If you completed downloading the client and you are beginning to install it, that 27 GB will surely require a fast connection to download because the moment you start the client, it will begin downloading the entire game including patches.

If you have a laggy connection, the download will surely timeout. Try to troubleshoot your connection. Disconnect the network cable from the network port at the back of the CPU then plug it back in. If this doesn’t work, disconnect the other end of the cable from the Wi-Fi router then connect it back. If this doesn’t work, try restarting the router.

If the router has a power button, press it to turn it off then unplug it from the power for about ten to twenty seconds (10 – 20). Press any button on the router to drain any leftover power or to power cycle. After this, plug the router back to the power and turn it on. If this doesn’t work, try downloading the client again: Black Desert Online.

Black Desert Online supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. It requires 2.9 GHz Intel Core i3-530 or faster processor, 4 GB RAM, 27 GB free space, video card (NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250, NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX, Radeon HD 3870 X2, or better), 1280 x 720 minimum screen resolution, and broadband internet connection.
