Hi Readers!
As I migrated from my IE 7 to IE 8, I faced a critical problem. It happened on my primary desktop. My primary desktop runs on Windows Server 2008 x64 SP 1.
I got the upgrade done too quickly without any trouble. In the beginning I thought it was okay.
But for the first time when I started IE 8 and started navigating to a website, I got the following error message which says,
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:Program Files (x86)Internet Exploreriexplore.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Wassup John, I think I can help you with that query, you may first need to delete all the cookies in the internet explorer.
You can also go to your Web browser and click on Tools > Internet Options.
Update all objects in Internet Explorer.
Reboot the explorer.
This should solve your query.
Thanks.
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime Error! Critical error
Hi John Anderton,
Well this type of error usually caused by two ways.
Visual C++ Runtime library files are missing.
Application Problem.
Method 1
-
If the problem is with missing runtime libraries.
-
You have to reinstall the runtime components of visual C++ library files to solve the problem.
-
Download the following.
-
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package (X86, X64).
Method 2
-
If your issue is still not resolved then there must be an application problem.
-
Click Start Menu then click on run and type “msconfig” to open system configuration utility.
-
Click the services tab and check the HIDE All Microsoft Services box and disable all.
-
Click startup and disable all and click ok.
-
Restart the system and test your issue.
It’ll be solved for sure.
Good Luck!
