I am a Windows 10 user. I have a problem with the WiFi. It keeps on frequently disconnecting on its own. This is creating problems while I am working on my laptop. Is there any solution how can I fix this?

Please check that your version of windows is genuine and all the required drivers are updated.

If this does not work, follow the steps below:

1. Click on Control Panel and then go to Hardware and Sound>Power Options and click on Edit Plan Settings.

2. Then select on Change Advanced Power Settings.

Now select High Performance.

If you do not want high performance, you can select change settings which are currently unavailable.

Then go to wireless adapter settings and then select power saving mode. Now select power saving mode for both on battery and plugged in.

If you have a problem with your Wi-Fi and the connection keeps disconnecting, you need to troubleshoot the connection. If you are using a desktop and it is connected to the router via cable, check the cable at the back of the CPU. Disconnect the network cable from the network port at the back of the CPU then plug it back in.

If this doesn’t work, disconnect the other end of the cable from the Wi-Fi router then connect it back. If this doesn’t work, try restarting the router. If the router has a power button, press it to turn it off then unplug it from the power for about ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds. Press any button on the router to discharge any leftover power or to power cycle.

After this, plug the router back to the power and turn it on. If you are using a laptop and you are connected to the router via Wi-Fi connection, check your distance from the router. If you are too far, move a little closer to the router to improve the signal reception.

If you are too far from the router, your laptop will receive very little signal and this affects connection stability. Weak Wi-Fi signal leads to frequent disconnection.
