My Gmail shows three tabs currently. These are Primary, Social, and Promotions. I want to add one more classification to it for e-mails that are specific to some official updates. Is there some facility supporting this? If yes, then what are the steps?

How To Add Tab In Gmail
Those are the default tabs in your Gmail account but you can change or remove them if you don’t like or you don’t need one. The available tabs that you can display in your Gmail account are the following:
- Primary
- Social
- Promotions
- Updates
- Forums
The “Primary” tab is the one you need to access all your email messages. You can uncheck this option in the settings but you cannot save the changes because this is the required tab in your account and it cannot be removed or disabled. These are the only tabs you can enable and disable in your Gmail account.
If the tab you want is not listed, there’s no option to add it in your inbox interface. To enable or disable the tabs in your Gmail account, log in to your account then click the gear icon on the upper right corner of the screen and select “Settings”. In the “Settings” screen, go to “Inbox” tab then check or uncheck the options in the “Categories” section.
