You will be happy to know that you are not alone. A lot of users, if not the majority of them prefer third party media players over the Windows Media Player. Although it is popular, most of its functions are either outdated or criticized and are just not as good as some other media players out there. Follow the steps below to uninstall Windows Media Player from your computer.

Log in to your computer as an admin. Open the Control Panel, go to Programs and Features. A new window will open. Click on turn features on or off. From the list, find a folder named Media Features, there you will find Windows Media Player. Uncheck the box and click okay. Now, go ahead and uninstall Windows Media Player.
