I need to update my Virtual Machine. I have got to know that some sort VMware Update

Manager is needed to update it. Is it true? If yes then how to install it?

Yes, it is necessary to install a VMware Update Manager to update your VM. Following are the steps to install VMware Update Manager:

• Run the vSphere installation media.
• In the left panel, click on the vSphere Update Manager and choose to install.
• Select your language.
• Accept the license agreement.
• Submit the vCenter Server URL, a username, and a password and then click Next.
• Choose the database of your choice
• Enter the proxy server address and port.
• Click on install.
• Click on Finish once the installation is done.
