Hi, can anyone enlighten me with the meaning of Windows 7 GPT partition error?  I am unable to understand a single word of my textbook.

What does Windows 7 GPT partition error mean?

Windows 7 GPT partition error is a common error while installing Windows 7 or maybe Windows 10. To proceed with the installation, you need to solve this error. There are two types of compatibility mode in PCs –

A – UEFI based PC

B – Legacy BIOS compatible PC

For option A, you need GPT type partitioning, while for option B, you need MBR style partitioning. If you are getting GPT partition error, it means your PC is booted in UEFI mode, but your hard drive is not configured to this mode.
