How to resolve “Windows update error 80246005?”

Hi, while updating windows, I got error windows to update error 80246001. Does anyone know what this error means and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

How to resolve “Windows update error 80246005?”

Hi, Windows update error 80246005 specifies that the operating system is not able to save the updates at the Catroot folder.

To fix this error follow the following steps:-

1. Go to Administrative tools.
2. Double click on services. Type the details for confirmation.
3. Go to Windows update service and change the order of the names column.

1. Select either of the options from Start/Restart.
