Error 3 on installing AVAST
This error is caused by a corrupted installation of Avast Antivirus. Maybe you have already installed the software before or just a plain installation glitch. Here’s how you can solve the problem:
-
Download Avast Uninstall Tool. The tool is available and can be downloaded.Â
-
After downloading the utility, restart your computer in Safe Mode. If you don’t know how to go to Safe Mode, follow these steps:
-
Restart the computer.
-
When BIOS appears in your monitor, press F8 immediately. Be quick because most BIOS boots fast.
-
Windows will show a set of menus. Choose to restart in safe mode.
3. Run the uninstall utility (aswclear.exe).
4. Click on Remove then restart your computer.
Try installing the Avast Antivirus again. It should have no error now.
