The steps of creating an FTP server on Windows 8 are the following:

Windows 8 has an inbuilt FTP server, and is used to upload the file from the computer to servers and download the files from servers to computers.

Step 1: Go to Start then click on Control Panel.

Step 2: Click on Programs, then click on Turn Windows features on or off.

Step 3: In the Windows Features dialog box, expand the Internet Information Service (IIS).

Step 4: Expand the FTP Server node.

Step 5: Select the FTP Server and the FTP Service then click on OK.
