Windows 7 hard drive crash

Hi all!

My hard drive crashed last week. It was a 500 GB hard drive. It does not detect the BIOS whatsoever. I had left the computer on with the monitor turned off. When I came back from work I turning on the monitor. The computer seemed to be booting and got stuck on the welcome screen.

 

After waiting patiently for a while, I hard restarted my computer and got a error message which I have attached. I had recently bought a net Windows 7 operating system and installed. The computer was working fine before the crash.

 

What could have happened and what can I do?

Windows 7 hard drive crash

Its normal to keep your computer on for long time, and hard disks are normally not affected by this thing. Even when hard drive crashes on Windows 7, Windows 7 starts displaying warning messages (before crashing of hard drive) about your hard drive that your hard drive is going to crash in small time.

So if you did not saw such notifications, then it means that your hard drive had no bad sectors which may damage it. As you mentioned that BIOS not detects your hard drive, so please check and make sure that the hard drive power cable and data cable both are working. If both are working then one possible reason of hard disk crashing is power. Hard disks can't bear "power shocks".

Hi,

The computer hard drive might be damaged by any of the following; power electrical shock, lightning strike and or any sudden power interruptions.

 

As computers are prone to this happening, it happened to my computer back then. What happen to yours is still a mystery to me because I have no clue what really had happened.

 

Fixing computer hard drive is no easy task. The best solution for this is a hard drive replacement, done and handled by computer experts.

 

The computer has to be unscrewed and open up sideways. Lay down in a clean space, no dust particles are advisable because it might erased content/data on it.
