Samsung XE 300M Chromebox has a whole lot of connectivity options. With two display port connections, a DVI port and six USB ports it makes a very good impression on anyone looking for a simplified way of file management. The Chromebox is provided with Ethernet and Wi-Fi too.
But why Chromebox has no SD card slot? Why a HDMI port is also avoided in the Chromebox?
Samsung Chromebox missing SD card slot and HDMI port
Hi Techyvmathewtom, yes it's a shame that Google has ignored HDMI. Display Port and DVI are easily compatible with HDMI. They both require adaptor HDMI has clearly been excluded it's because of the license fees, they are keeping the cost down. in this case most monitor still support DVI and VGA is supposed, again via adaptor. So you can see it is flexible.
We cannot deny the fact that there is no SD card slot, and it is important too if you are in need to download/upload images and digital camera is very important part of the day, so it needs flexibility, if you need to switch to Chromebox.
Perhaps switching to full version of Linux is a good idea because you could have a powerful secure computer, that is super compact with little money.
