Exynos 4412 – the man behind Samsung Galaxy S III
I read an article posted saying this device was made using the same process as the Apple A5 rev 2 is made,
any major functional distinction over units having either one of these processors?

Hi,
The Apple A5 clocked at 1GHz can adjust its frequency to save battery life. It also includes an image signal processor unit that will do things such as face detection, white balance and automatic image stabilization and an earSmart for noise cancelling.
The Exynos 4412 on the other hand is clocked at 1.4GHz. It can also have the ability to switch off the whole core and scale both voltage and frequency. Samsung is claiming that it can go beyond 1.4GHz under scenarios that don’t utilize the four cores.
To conclude, Exynos has the upper hand when it comes to the clocking of the processor.
Hope you will find this helpful.
Cheers
