I am facing the 50 Mac error. I cannot copy the files from one location to another or from an external hard drive to Mac. Rebooting the system was not useful. Please help.

How To Resolve The 50 Mac Error?

Here are a few ways to fix the 50 Mac error –

Method 1

a. Open the Finder app.
b. Go to the file location.
c. Right-click on the file -> Rename.

d. Change the name to file.txt.
e. Change the extension for sure.
f. Move the file, and rename it to the original extension.

Method 2

a. Open the Finder app.

b. Open the Go menu.
c. Open Utilities.

d. Click on Disk Utility.

e. Select the Boot drive.
f. Click on the First Aid button.
g. Click on Run.
h. Complete the process.
i. Repeat the steps for the external drive.
j. Try to move the files.

Method 3

a. Open the App Store.
b. Click on the Update button.
c. Select Update all.
