My iPhone 3G becomes unresponsive

Hello! An irritating problem I have. The touch screen on my iPhone 3G becomes unresponsive sometimes. The home button works so the phone isn’t stuck but touch doesn’t work at all. The touch works perfectly again if I lock the phone and unlock it.
I have no idea why this happens sporadically. It always works after a lock/unlock so I am thinking it’s a software error.
I request ideas from anyone.

Hi Friend,

This will resolve your question with regard to your iPhone 3G. Below are the procedure on how to troubleshoot this kind of issue:

First, kindly press (long press) the Sleep/Wake button (The button on the upper right of your iPhone) then once you'll see the "Slide to Power Off", kindly slide the red button. Then, afterwards kindly long press again the Sleep/Wake button until your phone turns back on. Once the unit turns back on, kindly try to navigate again your iPhone. Now, if the problem still persists, you need to perform a hard reset of your device. In order for you to do that, kindly long press the Sleep/Wake button and the "Home Button" at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Don't slide the power to turn off just continue pressing the two buttons until a Apple Logo appears on your screen. Once you'll see the logo, meaning your device is resetting. Wait until your device turns back on, and try to navigate it your device. If the problem still persists, the last thing that you need to do is to "restore" your phone.

If the screen of your iPhone or iPod touch is frozen or non-responsive, there is a workaround for phones with broken screen on Android that might work in your device. To make navigation possible, you need a USB mouse and a USB On-the-Go (OTG) cable for iOS like this one: PinPle Lightning to USB Otg Cable. Since the touchscreen is frozen, navigation by touch is not possible.

With the use of the mouse and the OTG cable, you can make navigation on your device possible. Connect the USB mouse to the OTG cable and the OTG cable to your iPod touch. Now, see if you can navigate your way around on your device. Before doing this workaround and buy a cable, try rebooting your device first to possibly fix the frozen touch problem.

To reboot, press and hold the sleep/wake button at the top corner of the device until a slider bar appears that reads “Slide to Power Off” then release the button. Move the slider from left to right to power off. Once the device is off wait about thirty seconds (30) then press and hold the sleep/wake button again until the Apple logo appears.

Release the button and let the device start normally. If this doesn’t fix the problem, try hard reset. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the device turns off and then back on again. When you see the “Slide to Power Off” slider bar, just ignore it and continue pressing. When the Apple logo appears, release the button and let the device boot.

If this doesn’t fix the problem with the frozen touch, you might as well try the mouse and the OTG cable to navigate.
