Hey, am facing a difficulty on correcting an application error that keeps bugging my laptop.

Can you please give me solution on how to correct this application error that involves “rundll32.exe?”

Hi Laurel

Here are some steps to fix the issue about the rundll32.exe:

• Run your antivirus software if there are malwares or viruses causing the issue.
• Open cmd as administrator. To do this go to start, type cmd on the search box and right click on cmd then select run as administrator.
• Run System File Checker on cmd. To do this, type SFC /scannow then hit enter. Check the result of the System File Checker if there is an integrity issues.
• Run your CCleaner again.
• Check if the issue is resolved. If not continue these steps:
• Download a new rundll32.exe from this website:

If you have the Windows CD, you can use the cd to extract a new rundll32.exe.

• Navigate C:WindowsSystem32rundll32.exe and rename the file.
• Paste the new rundll32.exe on the same folder.
• Restart the computer and check if issue is resolved.
