I have not bought an e-reader until now because I do most of my reading in the bathtub. I recently saw an advert for the Kobo Aura H20, claiming that it was waterproof.
Is this true? Does this feature make it thicker or more difficult to handle than other e-readers? Is it still a fast and responsive device?

Well, according to the company’s claim made in their product description page, Kobo Aura H2O is Waterproof and Dust proof too. This premium range e reader is IP67 Certified i.e. according to “Ingress Protection Marking” , “Waterproof” for up to 30 minutes in 1M of water provided port is closed properly. But this super specialty doesn’t hinder the fine physical attributes of this ultimate e reader. This e-reader weighs just 233g and has of 6.8 inch e-ink “Carta” touchscreen display, resolution-1430×1080. Carta Imaging Film enables 50% improvement in contrast ratio in the comparison of previous e-displays.
Hope now all of your queries are resolved.
