Hi, everyone, I am a photographer. I need to print out various types of photo every day. Currently I am using Ubuntu 10 because always I prefer Linux based operating systems. However, to print out my photo I need print manager for my operating system. But I can't install Ubuntu prints manager on my computer. Can anyone help me please ?
How to install Ubuntu prints manager ?
Hello,
You can download CUPS who is a Print Server. This software manages print jobs and using IPP provides network printing. Also have auto-detections of network printers and many other features. You can see anything that support Samba, JetDirect and other lpd *nix printers. You can install by opening terminal prompt and type:
sudo apt-get install cups
For more details about installation and configuration you can check on this website: https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/serverguide/cups.html
