I used to chat on Omegle.com. Sometimes textual and sometimes video chats. Most of the times, the user on other side uses simulated Camera. I have tried a hundred of times but didn't get a real person on the other side of the chat. Suddenly, I got the feeling that my laptop Camera is working. The camera light was off. I rechecked my camera settings. Everything was fine. But I still have doubt in my mind. Please tell me if one can control my camera automatically when I am using Omegle.com.

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to control the audio and video or any control of your computer over the chat. A computer communicates with the connected devices using ports on the computer. Any device connected to a computer will be assigned a port number for communication. So, the person sitting at your other end may be having knowledge about the technical aspect of the computer. He can trace the port number of the webcam connected to your PC and block that port. In this way, he can temporarily stop the camera service.
