I am having iPhone 5S and iPad Air, both having iOS 8 installed. I was curious to know that how handoff will work on my these two devices. I use iPad at home and carry iPhone with me. So I thought of starting a work on iPad and finishing it on iPhone. Is it possible? If Yes then how?
How Handoff will work on my iPhone and iPad
Handoff is part of Continuity, a feature that Apple added that integrates an iOS device and Yosemite. Handoff will allow you to transfer your activities on a Mac PC, iPad, and iPhone. For example, you can be writing a composition on your Mac while you were in the office and continue it on your iPhone when you reach home.
To use Handoff, your device needs to have Bluetooth LE, signed in to the same Apple ID, connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and or running Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite or higher. You need Bluetooth LE because aside from the fact that it uses very little power, it only works within a very close range.
To enable Handoff on your iPhone, on your phone’s Home screen, go to Settings, General, and then tap “Handoff & Suggested Apps”. See image.
Next, slide or toggle Handoff to On to activate Handoff on your device. See image.
