For the audio, remember that there are software that don’t support digital audio output and there are some that support DTS, Dolby Digital, or other formats which may not produce audio from all channels. To check the audio, go to Settings, Sound Settings, Audio Output Settings, and then select the cable type you are using for your sound [Digital Optical or HDMI].

Uncheck all options for the output except for the 2 mandatory and then save the settings. Check the cable connecting your PS3 to your TV if they are set to the correct input type. If there is no problem with the input but still you have no audio, try resetting the audio output of PS3.

First, turn off the system. After that, turn it on again by pressing and holding on the power button for about 5 seconds or until you hear the system beeps twice. After this, the audio output setting will be reset similar as to the video output. For the video problem, try resetting the video output settings.
