Can I run combo fix from Dos to remove virus?

Hi,

My computer is infected by the viruses. Now I am facing a problem that I am unable to run programs in normal mode. 

My combo fix detected Rootkit virus.

I tried many ways to remove this virus. Can I run combo fix from DOS?

I think running from Cmd can help me out.

Please tell me how to run Combo fix from Command prompt.

Can I run combo fix from Dos to remove virus?

Hi Mellisa,

You have to act fast now because viruses can render your computer useless. Follow these steps to remove persistent viruses from your computer.

1. Boot your Windows in Safe Mode. To do so, Repeatedly tap F 8 key once your computer turns on. You should see this screen now:
2. Select Safe Mode from the list. Your Windows will now boot with limited state. Only necessary components needed to run Windows will be loaded.
3. Once Windows boots up, open your virus removal solution which you have installed in your computer.
4. Now do a FULL computer scan. Your antivirus should remove all viruses automatically but regardless, observe your antivirus program.
5. Once scanning is complete, restart your PC and boot into Windows normally.
6. Once you're logged into the system, again do a FULL computer scan to ensure that every virus was destroyed during scanning in OS Safe Mode.
