My Sony VAIO T series 15, a touch Ultra-book, but for the last few days its touch has become very irresponsive. Some parts of the screen are like they are just not receiving what I touch i.e it gives no response, while others are too slow, if I touch to close an app it will take 10 seconds or more to respond, is it something with hardware or internal problem? What should I do?
Touch Screen malfunctioning of my Sony VAIO
Hi Kenneth A Walker,
I am sorry to hear that you're facing this problem. Normally this means the touch calibration is not in sync, this is a hardware problem. I would advise you to carry your Touch Ultra -Book to a certified technician to have it looked at. If it is still under warranty you will not have to worry about expenses. I hope this helps.
Touch Screen malfunctioning of my Sony VAIO
If the touchscreen of your Sony VAIO T Series 15 laptop has become unresponsive or sometimes behaves very slow, try first calibrating the touchscreen display to isolate the issue whether it is hardware related or software related. On your screen, point to the lower-right or top-right corner of the screen then click on the Search charm. See image.
In the Search screen, type without quotes “tablet pc settings” and then hit Enter. On the Tablet PC Setting screen, click Calibrate. After this, if you see “Calibrate pen or touch input screens”, tap on the “Touch input” in case you want to use your fingers or select “Pen input” if you want to use the Digitizer Pen.
Click Yes when you are prompted by User Account Control. After this, simply follow the onscreen instructions until the calibration process is complete. Next, click Yes on Digitizer Calibration Tool and then click OK in the Tablet PC Setting screen. Close the “Hardware and Sound” window and then restart the computer.
