No sound on TV when connecting the laptop on HDMI port

i connected my laptop (acer 5920g) to my LCD TV using a HDMI cable. the sound is still hearing from my laptop and not from the TV. What is the solution to get the sound from the TV and not from the laptop?

No sound on TV when connecting the laptop on HDMI port

HDMI cable is only for the display or the video part of the movie you are trying to watch. you need to insert another cable to connect the laptop audio or sound to the TV. You can use a standard stereo audio jack or a standard stereo audio jack and RCA audio jack on the other end. It depends if your TV supports standard audio jack or not.

Connect the standard stereo audio jack end to your computer speaker or headphone socker and the other end to your TV.

 

Another solution is you can use a speaker with sub-woofer rather than using your TV for the audio, The sound quality is much better and louder..
