Hi,
I have a problem about my computer or my Removable disk. Every time I insert my removable disk to the computer, my computer can't detect it. I tried to insert it in the other USB ports but still it can't be detected. But when I tried to use an Extension for the USB port it can be detected. Does anyone know about this? Can you help me?
Thank you.

Removable disk cant be found
Hi,
Well I can see that the problem you’re facing is concerned with both your computer and your USB drive. So here I’m giving out some possible solutions to help you out. There may to two reasons for this problem. One is a problem with your computer or problem with your pendrive.
1. 1st of all you have to see whether your USB port is active or not. Sometimes it so happens that some of the port remains disabled. And as a result it could not detect the USB drive. For that
-
Right-Click on My-Computer
-
Click Manage – Device Manager- Universal Serial port Bus
-
See if your computer is showing the drive or not.
2. 2nd you have to format your pendrive. It seems that some of the virus has affected your computer too that’s why it doesn’t taking format. So I’m giving some way in which you can format your pendrive.
3. I need to know whether you have tried any other per drive or not. Try at least 3-4 drives of different sizes and brands of pendrive so see if they work or not.
4. If still doesn’t work, then maybe something corrupt in your USB hub drivers. You can uninstall the USB drivers and re-install it using any USB utility software. For that –
-
Right-Click on My-Computer
-
Click Manage – Device Manager- Universal Serial port Bus
-
Reinstall the driver
5. Another way to Format your pendrive is through OS Command Prompt. For that-
-
Open command prompt or type cmd in the start menu > run
-
Then Type format F: /FS: NTFS /x
-
F represents the drive letter and subject to change on your system.
-
If doesn’t work then TryF: /FS: DEA /x
6. I have searched for this solution and find out a solution form flashdriveblog.com. When your computer refuses to recognize a USB drive or other removable storage device you can try out the following.
-
First, hit Windows+E to open an Explorer window.
-
Select “My Computer. ”
-
Right click and choose “Manage” from the contextual menu. This will open a window called “Computer Management. ”
-
Select “Disk Management”, which is under “Storage”
-
On the bottom right side of the window, you’ll see a list of all of the storage devices currently attached to the computer. If your flash drive is listed there, that’s great—you can fix the problem. If not, this solution won’t work.
-
Right click on the drive listed in that window. This will bring up a contextual menu. Choose “Change Drive Letter and Paths. ”
-
This will bring up yet another window, which will show you “missing” drive. Choose “Change” at the bottom.
-
Another window will pop up. This one will have a drop down menu on the right hand side. Choose a letter “higher” than the one currently assigned to the drive. If it’s “E”, for example, choose a letter between “F” and “Z. ” It's probably best to pick one toward the end of the alphabet.
-
Once you’ve selected a drive letter, a warning message will come up saying that “Changing The Drive Letter of a Volume Might Cause Programs No Longer To run. ”
-
That’s OK. It’s likely that all you’ve got on the drive is data. Click on Yes.
-
That will return you to the Computer Management Window.
-
Your drive now should function properly.
7. If you do not want any virus enters into your pc through the pen drive. Then,
-
Turn off auto-play,
-
Browse the pen drive instead of double clicking the pen drive use the explorer mode.
Try them out. Hope for the best.
Thank you.

Removable disk cant be found
Sometimes when the system registry blocks the USB port ( pens). So try this by recovering or restoring system registry. Make sure that your removable disk free from viruses.
Due to viruses also these kinds of problems can occur. Check your USB port also it might have damaged. If the cable is not connected well, then there will be failures in connection.
