I was excited with this news that Twitter  changed and redesigned  their bird avatar in more interesting features. What is the main purpose why they are going to change their avatar?

Twitter Flips the Bird for more Fun

I do not think that they had any main agenda when they changed their avatars. The new twitter redesign is mostly to attract new users and keep the current twitter birds happy. This is a refreshing change from the previous plain old avatar. This change has been rather quiet and subtle if I may say so. And the multicolored birds have slowly over taken the interface of the social network. It has even gone as far as to say that it is the cutest bird ever. I think this is a new strategy that twitter has come up with and depending on the perception of all the tweet birds, the new avatar may just be there for a while. Let’s just see what happens.
