Looking for a dos high compression software.

I use Linux a lot, this has made me get used to doing most of my tasks on the command line, general discussions lead most people to believe that doing things on command give you much power.

I am trying to do my compressions using Windows XP, with the command power mentality,

I am scanning around for a command line tool for windows, is there a dos high compression software that can be of help?

Hello,

I searched over the internet and found out that community recommends this tool: http://www.zipgenius.it/

They say it has command prompt version built-in. I checked it and they were right. ZipGenius is a powerful tool for compressing your files, and you can use command prompt version for creating zip files with no problems.

For your file compression requirements, a 7-zip may be of interest to you. There is a lot of available software in the market but 7-zip is an open source software with a high compression file archive.
