I would like to know how to defragment my hard-drive. What is the meaning of disk defragmentation? Why is it necessary to undertake this procedure? What will be the consequence of not carrying out a disk defragmentation in the lifetime of a computer? Will there be any performance-related issues that may crop up down the line?

Disk Defragmentation and How This Works

Right click on my computer icon and select from the bar manage.

It opens the window computer management.

There will be storage icon that has further sub categories.

From these subcategories, click on disk defragmenter select the drive you want to defragment.

And then below, click on defragment as shown in the image.

It will speed up your hard drive and computer's overall performance by optimizing file system if you do not do this it slows down your PC.

Disk Defragmenter a tool that rearranges the data on your hard disk and reunites fragmented files so your computer can run more efficiently. It will speed up your hard drive and computer's overall performance by optimizing file system. By not doing this your PC may be not work efficiently.
