The Huffington Post online have posted that Netflix is mostly up, but I wonder why very frequently it is down. Even though the streaming is okay on my iPhone, I am not able to connect through Roku or wii. I repeatedly get errors on loading the videos for a while and quits completely. I am not even able to view the home screen to try fixing it. I really wonder why I am paying for such a bad service from Netflix. Is anybody else facing the same issues with Netflix?
Videos are not loading again in NetFlix, so annoying…
I guess it’s not the problem whether the website is up or down because many users are frustrated with the throttling of the service. There have been many reports by users that when they watch something on Netflix, whether a show or a movie, it stops buffering every minute or two then will freeze for about 30 minutes and then will resume.
One also said that Netflix had become very much unusable over the previous month. They also said that daytime use is fine but when evening comes, the service becomes very bad and unusable. But Netflix denied that they are slowing down the service. According to them, Verizon is not slowing its traffic.
But according to Dan Rayburn, the performance issues on Netflix have nothing to do with the net neutrality or the throttling. The problem is with the capacity since ISPs have only so much capacity. If a network doesn’t have enough or can’t provide more bandwidth, the quality of the service will suffer. Netflix hogs bandwidth, just to be assured.
