Hi, Recently I bought windows 8.1 full version 64 bit. After installing, it was playing soft. But after a few hours of non-stop working the windows is slowing down and the most disturbing thing is happening that, the start menu isn't showing at all (sometimes). Sometimes restarting windows is helpful but not always. Can anyone solve it?
Full version of windows 8.1 (64 bit) isn’t showing the start menu
That’s odd. If that’s a new installation then that wouldn’t happen. You probably didn’t check if your computer meets all the requirements before you installed Windows 8.1. Microsoft Windows 8.1 is an upgrade to Microsoft Windows 8. So, if you are already running Windows 8 then you should be able to upgrade to Windows 8.1.
But if not and you are previously using Microsoft Windows 7 then it is only right that you check your computer specifications. Windows 8.1 supports both 32-bit and 64-bit processors with 1 GHz speed or faster. If you have a 32-bit system, the minimum RAM required is 1 GB while if you have 64-bit system, you need to have 2 GB.
For 32-bit, you need to have 16 GB free space in your hard drive to install or upgrade to Windows 8.1. For 64-bit, you need around 20 GB free space which is quite bigger. Your video card should support WDDM 1.0 or higher. In case you have 64-bit system and you are only using 1 GB RAM, then you should add more RAM or you will be restarting your computer over and over again.
