I am installing a non-Microsoft third party application.
During the installation I receive a warning message which says the software I am installing has not passed the Windows Logo testing.
I know that the software I am installing is windows compatible and I am sure of it.
Will pressing the Continue Anyway button affect my system?
I haven't pressed this button because I am afraid of what will happen.
Please give your advice, thanks.
Software Installation
The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. (Tell me why this testing is important.)
Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize the correct operation of your system either immediately or in the future. Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop this installation now and contact the software vendor for software that has passed Windows Logo testing.

Third party application is not compatible with Win XP?
Hi Yolly,
The “driver signing” message that you received normally comes up when trying to install non-digitally signed Microsoft product, regardless if it’s an application or hardware.
For example, when you install a Hewlett Packard printer driver, the driver signing message will show up regardless of it being a known product working on Windows XP environment.
Technically there’s nothing to worry about. Just click continue anyway and everything should work fine.
You may also follow these steps to disable the driver signing message if you don't want to see it again when installing third party drivers.

Right click My Computer and select properties.
2. On the Hardware tab, click “driver signing” button.
3. Choose the first option. “Ignore – Install the software anyway and don’t ask for my approval.”
4. Click Ok to close.
5.Close the Dialog and press Ok to close the System Properties
Third party application is not compatible with Win XP?
Hello Yolly,
Just like you have been told by the error message, the program might either cause your system to malfunction immediately you install it or much later in the future, hence the application is not safe for your system. It seems like the application has some compatibility issues though it can still install but it will not function as desired.
So I personally suggest that you abort the installation and then go to the internet and look for another application that is suitable for the kind of system that you are using right now.
Hope this helps.
