Hi,
I am using Win 7 for the last one year. Due to some constraints, an application I am using is only compatible with Win XP.
On my friend’s advice, I installed VMWare (workstation) on top of Win 7 and installed Win XP on this virtual machine.
Everything went smoothly and win XP was installed successfully; however, I am unable to connect to the wireless Internet using Win XP. My friend has the same configurations of the O/S, and he does not have any such issue.
Can anybody please help?

WIRELESS INTERNET NOT WORKING ON VM WARE
After an added VMWare is installed on top of Windows 7 OS, the wireless card might have been removed, disabled and or the settings may have been messed-up.
Check Wireless card if the hardware and software are still installed. Go to Start, Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Device Manager and expand Network Adapter. Look for Wireless Network Interface card if still enabled and installed.
Check Wireless driver, go to Network and Sharing Center, Change Adapter Settings and WLAC's status has to be enabled/network.
Look for wireless icon in the system tray, click and choose your wireless network name and connect to that network.
Type the network security key and the status should change to connected.
