I heard that Nokia has been purchased by Microsoft. Is it really true? Is Nokia currently owned by Microsoft? Will Nokia ever release any smartphone in future or will just make Android phones and tablets? Will Microsoft use the Nokia’s brand name in future? Can anyone please shed light over this, please…

Hi Ave.

This is actually strange. Nokia has been purchased by Microsoft last year with £4.6bn. It's strange because its name is still Nokia that we buy.Microsoft says that Nokia success is actually a Microsoft success. The name stays same, but its profit goes to Microsoft. They have not announced anything about that yet whether they will sell Android phones or not. But surely Microsoft will use their brand name to make better phones and tablets.

As Microsoft stated that they will not continue the smart phone or Android phones. So bad news for all the Microsoft lovers. Where as soon Microsoft will start removing the application name as Nokia. And the new coming device will come with the name of Microsoft. And in some countries they have launched the devices with the name of Microsft.
